I met Adele and her mum when they came to a wedding day being held at the beautiful Enterkine House Hotel in Ayrshire. Whilst every couples story about their wedding is similar, this story was a bit different.
The reason husband to be Jay wasn’t there was that he was in New Zealand working and setting up the family home for Adele and their young son to move to less than a week after their wedding. If I was ever going to get married again, pretty sure I would do it this way, leave the bride to be and her mum to organise everything… Sure it wasn’t quite like that and Jay did loads, but I’m going with this version. 🙂
Only got to meet Jay a couple of days before the wedding and I should have asked a bit more about his background. Grooms are usually pretty tough to photograph, they have the standard “footballer” pose and that’s it….so I do my best to take the proverbial and get them to chill a bit. Should have found out that Jay was an instructor in the Marines before I took it that bit too far….banter was pretty good though and I made it home alive.
Great wedding, full of fun, laughter, friends and family genuinely celebrating a brilliant couples day and being together for them as they set out on a whole new life together on the other side of the world.
