Earlier this month I got the chance to work way over on the east coast, for us west coasters, that a fair jaunt 🙂
Catherine and Steven’s wedding ceremony was held in the beautiful St Mary’s Parish Church in Whitekirk. With its origins dating back to the 12th century, it’s one of the very few medieval parish churches still in active use in Scotland. For their wedding breakfast and reception, we headed over the the most amazing setting, a marquee in the grounds of Castleton Farm. With a backdrop of Tantallon Castle and Bass Rock, it was the perfect settings for this fab couples wedding day.
I love hearing the stories through the day about the couple, from the minister, best man obviously, the brides mum (brilliant speech Alison) and all the friends and family….and these two definitely had tales to be told :)….All confirmed when we abseiled down to a small cove for some shots of them looking out over the sea to Bass Rock. Fortunately for Catherine, I didn’t take all the super stylish shots I could have of her trying to get down there in her dress, ha. That combined with the various group shots of their friends and the ensuing nonsense, confirmed that this was a seriously fun pair and that everyone had a blast celebrating their day with them.
From the beautiful, formal wedding ceremony, through to the wedding breakfast, this was a most perfect day, celebrating their love and commitment to each other. Thank you for letting me share it all with you.
