It makes me a happy man when I get the chance to go back to work at Dumfries House, so when Lynne & Luke asked me to photograph their wedding in May at this stunning location, I was a wee bit chuffed.
A bit of a damp, dreich day didn’t spoil a damn thing. Lynne looked absolutely stunning and Luke kinda brushed up okay too, ha. Family and friends made this such a super stylish celebration….pity I didn’t add to the glamour.
Gorgeous ceremony held in the Tapestry room, followed by a champagne reception in the grounds and the main hall. It’s a wee bit scary walking round inside the house with such priceless antique furniture, you certainly don’t want to spill a drink anywhere.
The estate is enormous and open to the public, but there are some gardens a few minutes walk away that are usually secluded, so we went there and they were looking magnificent and in full bloom. Wasn’t hard to get the most stunning shots of this damn handsome couple in such a beautiful setting.
Everything on the day went so well, speeches were hilarious and the party was in full swing when I left….a great day was had by all I’m sure.
Thanks for letting me share it with you guys.
